@sydneyfalk There's a reason Discordians are prohibited from believing what they're reading :P
Because when that rule was written books were a lot harder to get published? ;P
@sydneyfalk I think now more than ever the rule is applicable :p
so I shouldn't trust people telling me they don't want to punch me after I duck their first punch?
this is really confusing advice Eliza, I'm sorry
be clearer, like the Principia ^_^
(No, but somewhat more seriously: There's also a reason Discordians are encouraged to duck if someone says they'll punch you.)
@Elizafox @sydneyfalk my tactic regarding things like this: always do your own research. Never blindly dismiss or take as absolute truth. Always check these things.
People can have reasons to lie, or exaggerate (not saying it's the case here) and rumors spread like wildfire and take a life of their own. Yknow like that game telephone that kids play?
I don't know what the source was in this case so I just heard the rumors from the telephone game. I am a curious cat and curious cats investigate
The source was the person saying their opinion.
I'm sure they probably were joking. Or, wait, they say shit like this all the time, consistently.
So I consider that at least as confirmable as we can get without shoving a [REDACTED] in their [REDACTED] and adding [REDACTED] serum and oh right there's no way to confirm what people think.
You just have their words to go by.
Investigation done enough. I've eaten enough shit in my life. ^_^
@sydneyfalk @Elizafox o-okay sorry
Please don't misunderstand: I'm with you on things that are third/fourth hand, etc.
But some things aren't. ^_^ Some are concrete. Some make you so angry you can't think, make you wonder why your friends said nothing.
Betrayal happens. Really.
And I'm a paranoid, so there's people I will probably never trust again in my lifetime. And it's okay.
World's a big place. ;) <3 They don't need me, and my needs aren't relevant to them.
@sydneyfalk Not always
People like to talk
