As XKCD pointed out, English inflection has diminished over the centuries and is probably ripe to become extinguished. Without inflection, English could easily be conveyed solely with ideograms and pictograms. Perhaps we're already heading in that direction.

Maybe emoji are the future. :thinking:

Japanese love emoji because their language is already conveyed primarily through ideograms.

The Latin alphabet in a pictographic English could be used for supplementary purposes, like katakana and hirigana are in Japanese.

As a random bonus fact: hirigana was originally a script only for women in Japan, centuries ago.
