I'm really upset that this special thing may very well be ruined by those people who believe in absolute rights to free speech even in private corners of the Internet.
The same fuckheads that mean well, especially for personal freedom, but don't understand that their attitude is literally why people complain Aliensite, Facebook, and Birdsite are such unmitigated shitholes.
Having spoken on it before, but can't say it enough, absolute rights to free speech are a *gift* outside private areas. It's legal to express any opinion in a public place or in your own home or whatever.
But this is my space and I have the right here to limit speech, and I have limited it in a way to minimise harm to the people here, including myself, and I am allowed to do whatever I want and block whoever I want and I shouldn't be judged by the community harshly for it.
