* Some of these are valid points. Others are anathema to how this works.
* What do you propose for "verification"? I use a keybase.io account. How do you verify people's email addresses?
* "Dumbing it down" is stupid. They're always making a better idiot.

- TBH verification is the one I'm most eeeehhhhhh about. Non-global-uniqueness is a feature not a bug, but I can see why it's a concern for abused communities
- better user experience isn't dumbing it down. not everybody thinks like you. better accessibility hurts noone and helps many
- yea, it's not twitter and that's good it shouldn't be π
