Just cause I clicked "agree" to your TOS doesn't mean I actually agree. It just means that I don't have a choice.

@Elizafox
True. The services should have an "acknowledge" button.

@Elizafox
Relevant bash.org quote:

> I will write on a huge cement block "BY ACCEPTING THIS BRICK THROUGH YOUR WINDOW, YOU ACCEPT IT AS IS AND AGREE TO MY DISCLAIMER OF ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, AS WELL AS DISCLAIMERS OF ALL LIABILITY, DIRECT, INDIRECT, CONSEQUENTIAL OR INCIDENTAL, THAT MAY ARISE FROM THE INSTALLATION OF THIS BRICK INTO YOUR BUILDING." And then hurl it through the window of a Sony officer, and run like hell

@Elizafox I recall hearing that actually also has some sort of impact in the court of law as well, the fact that it's compulsory/required to use the software you obtained and possibly even paid for. Don't quote me on that though, I'm not 100% sure

@Frinkeldoodle @Elizafox Yeah, there was a case in the US where they declared shrinkwrap licenses ("by opening this package, you agree to the terms inside") unenforcable. I think you could make the same argument for mandatory, illegible EULAs

but, you know, have fun going to court
